The rest of our summer was spent doing things to stay out of the sizzlin summer heat. The girls always have a way of finding/making up something fun to do. They are so imaginative and creative! They are also very active and like to be "going", which makes summer really fun :)
Some of the things we did are:
Having a campout in the backyard
Playing in the Thursday night summer league
Having cousins over and coming up with jumping/running games
Swimming at Leany's Lake
Being goofy with friends :)
Carli participated in a summer soccer camp called "Coerver". She did amazing! The last day, all parents/family are invited to come watch a "finals" of sorts. Carli made it for her shooting and ball handling (aka moves). She ended up winning the big award for the whole camp!! She won the Coerver Minute award and got a new soccer ball. We are so proud of her! She is such a talented and hard working girl!
We spent quite a few afternoons at Highline Lake. Its perfect to build sand castles and play in the water.
The girls had LOTS of playdates! I wish I had felt better, because I spent a lot of time just laying on the couch or in bed (or in the bathroom!) but when the girls had someone over to play with, they kept each other occupied :) Regan's favorite friend Shilo came over to play and they BOTH lost a tooth! I told them they are "Teeth Twins"!
Carli's friend came over and they decided they wanted to make cookies by themselves. Dad said yes, so they did! The kitchen was a mess after, but the cookies were good :) Or so I'm told!
One trip we were able to make between various soccer tournaments and activities was going to Utah to see the Brownlows. Jay/Jess were blessing Wyatt so the whole crew came...Jeff/Charisse and their family came too! It was great to see them and get reacquainted with their kids. They are cute little bugs!
While in Utah, we fit in a professional soccer game for the Salt Lake Real. Bryce came with us to endure the scorching heat. Yuck! On a more positive note: The game was awesome! The girls absolutely loved it! They all want to play professionally now :)
Wyatt's blessing. What a good baby! He never even cared that he was surrounded by tons of people and tons of chaos the whole day!
By the time our sizzlin summer was finally coming to an end, the girls were beat! We did so much and played so hard. It is always nice to have no schedule and no routine, but the endless nights of no bed times and constant playing can catch up to you. This picture is living proof! :)
It has been a GREAT summer and we are looking forward to the next one!!
