the end of another school year

Another school year is over...why does it seem like time is going faster and faster? Carli is now done with 3rd grade (Wow!) and will be starting 4th grade. Mrs. Faber was her teacher and she was absolutely perfect for Carli. She was strict, organized and expected A LOT out of her students which is exactly what Carli likes! It was a great 3rd grade year with a lot of accomplishments and progress in all areas. We will miss Mrs. Faber next year! Carli loved her (and she even did 100 pushups for the kids!!)


Mollie finished Preschool this year and I'm not sure if I'm ready for it, but she will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. She loved her teachers Ms. Venee and Ms. Carlton even though they "made her sit on the carpet for circle time everyday!" :) It will be weird not seeing them next year. We've had someone in their class for the last 2 years in a row! Hard to believe I'm no longer a mom with a preschooler...my kids are getting too big too fast!! Especially my Mollie! Ms. Venee said Mollie is a good student who is full of spunk and fun to have in class. Hope Mrs. Bricker is ready for another Dare girl :)

Dance Recital

It's the end of the semester, so you know what that means....Recital time!! Regan and Mollie had their dance recital (which Chad LOVES! Ha!) and they were just adorable! Regan is a pretty good dancer and knows all of the moves. Mollie knows most of the moves too and is always entertaining to watch :) This recital was a little different than ones in the past with a costume change in the middle. Wasn't sure how that was going to go, but the dance helpers got all the girls changed and back out with no problem. My favorite part of watching them dance is how serious they are. They are so intense! Must be from the Dare side of the family :)





(Sidenote: Carli isn't in dance because, "It isn't her thing." No offense, but she's right. She's not that great of a dancer. That IS from the Dare side of the family!)

Here she is, the big graduate!! Regan had a great year in Kindergarten. Her teacher was Mrs. Bricker (same as Carli) and she is so great! Regan is a great student who always listens and loves to go to school. She's become an amazing reader, writer, and artist. She did a lot of drawing and writing stories about her pictures. She is really creative :) Hard to believe that my little Regan is getting so big, but as they sang in her program: It's time to say, "Good bye to Kindergarten and Hello First Grade!!"
