Regan has been amazing through it all! The nurses were giggling about how she was actually excited for it :) She was so brave! She never cried, whined, whimpered...she didn't make a peep (even hearing all the other kids crying) The doctor said the surgery went as well as it could (they took out her tonsils and adnoids) and that with all the infection that was in there, she will probably feel better than she has in years. Boy, was he right! They told us she would be tired (she took a little nap on the way home) but when we got home she did NOT want to sleep. All she had that morning was the "purple popsicle" she requested, so she was hungry. What did she want? BACON!! I couldn't believe it! She ate everything she could get her hands on for the next 3 hours before wanting to jump on the trampoline, swing on the swings, and all other running activities she wasn't allowed to do :) Apparently she feels A LOT better without them! Her recovery has been great so far and she is ready to go back to preschool/dance/swim/etc. We are grateful for such a good doctor and such a brave little girl!! What a happy day!

Sadness
We have been on an emotional roller coaster this week. We have felt shock, denial, pain, heartbreak, love, happiness, and support. We lost our baby this week. With all the ups and downs there is an overwelming feeling of thankfulness for the gospel. There was no way to tell the girls and to make it through the two painful procedures without our knowledge of the plan of salvation. We know we will get to raise our little boy in the next life. Thank you to our friends and family for everything. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. Even though there is still sadness, we are filled with love.

Wonderful Winter
Happy Winter!! We ended 2009 and started 2010 on our annual trip to the valley of the sun. What great winter weather!! It was nice to thaw out a little! :) We saw A LOT of family and had A LOT of fun! We came home by way of Bagdad to see Chad's parents and Durango to see Chad's cousins and celebrate our anniversary. What a blast!! When we finally made it home, the girls were so exhausted...we needed a vacation from our vacation! This is a trip we won't soon forget!! Winter is in full force here in Colorado and the snow and cold temperatures just won't quit. In fact, I got my truck washed yesterday and by the time I drove home, the doors were frozen shut! Brrrrr!! We are trying to stay warm and remember the wonderful winter weather in AZ!
Waiting their turn for the annual Whiting Family Polar Bear Club. All three girls did it this year!
All the members of the 2009 Polar Bear Club (notice Grandpa is the only adult this year...hehe)
Riding bikes at Grandma Whiting's house. We are so sad Fruita has so much snow....we can't ride our bikes!
Happy Birthday Connie! The girls had so much fun having their usual "tea party" with chocolate pudding :)
We went on a "buggy" ride in Bagdad with Grandma/Papa Dare. What fun! The girls loved it (even though it was stinkin cold!)
While on our trip, we celebrated our 11th anniversary! It is hard to believe it's been so long since our wedding day! I am married to an amazing man and I am so lucky to have him!! Thanks Dixie and James for a great night out...I have never eaten so much sushi!!
Back to Colorado and the snow! The girls had a good time playing in the snow (except Regan who had a sledding accident. She crashed and landed on her face...I have never seen so much blood!! The ground and her snow clothes looked like someone was murdered!)

Thankful

Time seems to be going by faster than it used to. It seems as if school just started and now we're getting ready for Christmas! We had a nice Thanksgiving with LOTS of family!! (not pictured: Sam and Aubrey because they weren't here yet) Chad's family came to our house this year, so we had a houseful! It was fun watching the cousins play and staying up late laughing :) We sure have a lot to be thankful for!! Speaking of, we are especially thankful for our newest addition coming in July!! There's nothing more special than family!

I know it's late (and the top picture is small)....sorry! Hope you all had a great Halloween!! Ours was full of fun, full of candy, and full of smiles! Trying to think of costumes for the next adult party and looking forward to what costumes the girls will think of for next year :) They are so creative!
