SHOES (a little late)

To the best dad in the whole wide world, there's something we must say-
You make us smile, you make us laugh, you hug us everyday.
Your shoes are big and hard to fill, there's no one quite like you,
We hope you know that we love you and all the things you do!

You are my Sunshine

The girls went to Sunshine Generation Summer Camp the first week of June and the director asked if I could be a helper. I said I would, but I would have to bring Mollie. She said it was fine, but on the first day, there was a change of plans. Mollie wanted to "sing and dance" too! Miss Jen is AWSUM and let her join the youngest group (with Regan). The week was a little long for her, but overall a success. They performed for the families on Friday and all three girls did so good!! I've posted some video, but it's a little shaky (I was holding a friends baby) and VERY windy. Hope you enjoy watching my little sunshines!!

Having a Husband

So, it's a long story but Chad got hurt again. My husband is a fun man who likes to do fun things. He is an avid outdoorsman, which means he is usually doing things that involve a little risk. (e.g. rodeos, hunting, biking, skiing, snowboarding, 4wheelers, etc.) Long story short, Saturday morning he went on an early morning mountain bike ride (very normal) and came home with a broken arm. It is broken just below the elbow, at his wrist and possibly his thumb. He has an appt. tomorrow with the orthopedic Dr. to determine if it can be casted yet (it was really swollen) I love my husband very much and in the ten and a half years we've been married I have learned that this is just part of having a husband who likes to play! Oh well.

Redneck Hillbillies

Chad told me I didn't get any comments on my last post because it was boring...so I thought I'd make this post a little more exciting. What better way than to post some gross pictures!! To finish up the month of May, we had our annual pig roast for our friends. If you don't know about it, you do now, and you are officially invited to next years! Every year we buy a pig from a local rancher, kill/skin it, put it on a spit, season it, and cook it for hours...it's delicious!! (I will give a little warning: Don't eat too much in one sitting because it is greasy and you will be on the toilet later!) Yes, we are rednecks. No, we don't care. Why? Because we have fun!! Hope you don't get sick looking at these pictures...it is NOT for those with a weak stomach! hehe

The boys took it to our friends property to "take care of business." Much better than last year!

I told you they were gross! Is it more exciting than the last post....I would say so!!

Washing it up so it can be seasoned. You KNOW our neighbors LOVE us!
Here she is...roasting to perfection!! Yummy!

They always eat so much while cutting it up that they aren't hungry by partytime! What is it with men and meat?!

Our friend is an optometrist so we made him join the "eyeball club." He did it, but I don't think his wife is going to kiss him for a LONG time!

Thanks to all of our great friends for a great party! We can't wait for next years!!
